It had a lot of nice touches, lovely crockery and cookware, very good log-burner. Great selection of books on the Outer Hebrides too.
Very clean and tidy, well presented, and thoughtful gestures too.
All in all we had a great stay!

They have truly thought of everything and even some extras. Do yourself a favor and book this property. You are central to so many sights and after a long day, this place is a sanctuary. Light the fire, have a soak in the tub and enjoy the peacefulness. Or sit on the back deck and watch the sheep grazing in the neighbor's backyard (or across the street out in front...or pretty much anywhere). We came at the best time of year too since there were loads of baby sheep hopping around! Kim and Steve were happy to share their knowledge of crofting, their village and the island. They opened our eyes to the way of life on the island had many helpful tips for us when sightseeing. We ate out at some pretty fantastic restaurants (Uig Sands, HS1 Bar at Royal Hotel, 40 North Ltd and North Harbour Bistro) but we also cooked some meals at the cottage. We loved just being there so much! Overall, this was one of the most memorable trips of our lives. We wished we had more time there and were very sad to leave. Again...book this place!!! You will not be disappointed. read less

There were lots of lovely thoughtful touches when we arrived and when some bad weather rolled in mid-way through our stay they popped round to check we were okay and had everything we needed. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts. The Post Office itself was fantastic - nice and warm and absolutely pristine. We spent some very cosy evenings in front of the fire and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. We didn’t want to leave. Thank you! read less
