From the moment we arrived we were greeted by puppies from next door (adorable) and it was just a WOW moment as we entered the property, realizing we had picked a property where the owners clearly wanted their guests to have a 5* stay. From the inside decor to the outside decking, to enjoy the views out the back of Tolsta, and the sheep enjoying themselves, the property is beautifully placed, planned and designed.
You can't leave a review on The Old Post Office without mentioning the bath in the bedroom, fantastic unusual feature. When I originally booked I thought it was put there because the property was too small to have a bathroom but how wrong could I have been. There was a adequately large bathroom with a good sized shower, much larger than average. We were thrilled with it.
Keith's favourite spot was the seat by the window, enjoying the evening sun with a book and a beer, or the decking in the morning sun ... no need to rush off to find somewhere to see, when it's really all here on your doorstep!
The extras that Kim left were so very thoughtful, and the 'naughty' nibbles that she baked were very much appreciated, and delicious!
A real treat was when Kim invited me over to feed/milk the lambs, a lovely experience I will always remember, and we will never forget Kim and Steve's hospitality in inviting us in for a cup of tea/drink with themselves ... lovely to hear local suggestions for the area etc and to meet them both properly 😀
What was also lovely is how quiet the area is and that you can walk around the roads enjoying the beauty and nature, with only the occasional car and friendly neighbour passing by 😀
We highly recommend this property, just make sure you spend every precious moment appreciating this beautiful tranquil part of this beautiful rugged fascinating little Island ... We loved it and would definitely return. read less
